Fat Tuesday on Pancake Sunday for the 14th Year in a Row
In French, “Mardi Gras” literally means “Fat Tuesday,” signifying the last night of eating rich foods before the fasting of the Lenten season begins. It is also known as Pancake Tuesday because making pancakes is one of the easiest ways to use up fat, eggs, and dairy.
For the last 14 years, the Men’s Ministry has hosted Pancake Tuesday on Sunday. This excellent breakfast (or lunch) prepared by our very own chefs is available for all on Sunday, February 15, from 8:30am-1:30pm, and will be accompanied by Mardi Gras revelry and Dixieland jazz.
Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-12. Children 5 and under eat for free. Make your reservations and men, sign up to help volunteer on the side porch today. All proceeds go to support Child S.H.A.R.E. and their continuing mission to find and support foster and adoptive families for children in need.
