Los Angeles is the homeless capital of the country and our homeless population grows by the day. As we drive by an individual asleep on a bus bench, setting up their make-shift residence on Wilshire Blvd., or even finding sanctuary on our own side porch, we often ask ourselves, “what can I do about it?” We hope you will join us on Wednesday, Jan. 25, starting at 9pm in Hoffman Hall until about midnight as we partner with LAHSA (the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority) to physically count each homeless individual residing on our streets. This count is vitally important to the County of Los Angeles as it determines the funding that we receive to address our homeless concerns.
