Towards Interfaith Hospitality
The current public conversation in the U.S. about religion is highly divisive. Some categorically reject, and even want to suppress, religious beliefs and practices which differ from their own. Others hold and promote the view that all religious doctrines, rituals, and observances are equally true and of equal value. The two camps rarely speak to each other, let alone understand one another. Is it possible to move beyond the unsatisfactory alternatives of rigid fundamentalism and fuzzy universalism?
Join us for this part two of this special two-part Faith Conversation on Sunday 21. Our conversation will be led by Dr. Reinhard Krauss, Executive Director of the Academy for Judaic, Christian, and Islamic Studies, who is also a professor of Inter-religious Studies at UCLA and is on the faculty of the New Theological Seminary of the West. Refreshments will be served so join us right after the worship service starting next Sunday.
