Food for Thought Lecture – August 16:
What great Protestant Reformer…
…was a bodyguard of an early Protestant martyr and carrieda two-headed axe in the course of his duties? …served as a galley slave for two years? …railed against the divine right of kings and supported the rights of the common man? …set the foundation of government of the Presbyterian church and our form of worship?
Come to Hoffman Hall on Sunday, August 16, at either 10am or 12:30pm as Rev. Dr. Gary Sattler tells us all about John Knox. We generally know a little something about the theology of John Calvin. Now is the time for WPC to reflect on the other John.
Lunch will be provided at the 12:30pm meeting for a $10 donation.
