The Protestant Reformation— More than Just Luther, Calvin and Knox
How many of us know about the Radical Reformation— a Reformation where Luther was thought too conservative? After the 11am service next Sunday, Sept. 14, come to Hoffman Hall and learn about Ulrich Zwingli, whose followers ate fried sausages instead of fasting during Lent, and the Anabaptists, whose literal interpretation of the Sermon on the Mount resulted in not taking oaths, becoming a soldier, or running for public office.
Our own Rev. Dr. Gary Sattler, Professor of Church History and Pastoral Care, will pick up where he left off last summer in our ongoing Food for Thought series on the Reformation. Lunch will be available for $10. Sign up today by calling 310-474-4535.
