“Social media is not about the exploitation of technology, but service to community.” —Simon Mainwaring
Social media is a phrase that we throw around a lot these days, often to describe what we post on sites and apps like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and others. But how does it relate to the church, especially our church?
All are invited to join us for our two-part WPC@10 series on Faith & Social Media Sundays, Oct. 30 and Nov. 6. The first session will introduce you to WPC’s social media presence, walk you through things you probably didn’t know we offered on our website, and ways users of all levels can best engage with it. We will also address concerns over online privacy, and provide helpful tips on how you can stay safe when using social media. Then, for the second session, we will talk more in depth about faith in the age of social media.
Those with multiple social media accounts and those who are just beginning will both benefit from this course. Visit our table on the side porch today or email email@example.com for more information.
