WPC@10: Forgiveness (Hoffman Hall)
Jesus told his disciples—and through them, us—not only to forgive, but to forgive seventy-seven times. (Don’t bother keeping a record— he meant just keep doing it!) We find forgiveness in the Lord’s Prayer and throughout Jesus’ teachings. We are reminded that we, too, need forgiveness, and that it is available— we need only ask. What, then, does it mean to forgive? Are we to “forgive and forget?” Does it mean to “make nice?”
On April 24 and May 1, this new WPC@10 course will explore just what forgiveness means, how God seems to think about it, and what we should expect of ourselves (and, perhaps, hope for from others). Classes will be held in Hoffman Hall and will be led by Rev. Dr. Gary Sattler and Rev. Dr. Laura Harbert.
