All women are invited to join us on Wednesday, March 13 in Hoffman Hall at 7:30pm. Caroline Gill will lead our discussion of Prairie Fires: The American Dreams of Laura Ingalls Wilder by Caroline Fraser.  After editing a set of the "Little House” books for the Library of America series of classics, Fraser became intrigued by the differences between Wilder’s own frontier life and the stories she wrote in the 1930s. When Fraser’s biography of Wilder and her family won the  2018 Pulitzer Prize, the jury called the book:  “A deeply researched and elegantly written portrait of Laura Ingalls Wilder…that describes how she transformed her family’s story of poverty, failure and struggle into an uplifting tale of self-reliance, familial love and perseverance.”
