For more than seven years, we've had the privilege of having Rev. Matthew Hardin as our associate pastor. Pastor Matt recently shared his news that he is being called as the next Pastor/Head of Staff at Pacific Palisades Presbyterian Church.   Matt began his call at WPC in 2013. Matt and Mary were relocating from Japan; we followed them as they married, and then as they welcomed their two sons, Joshua and Luke, into the world and into our family of faith. Over the years, we have been blessed by their presence, and by Matt’s leadership. His steady faithfulness, quiet humor, compassionate heart, and detailed organization have been a blessing to us all. We will miss Matt, Mary, Joshua, and Luke immensely. It is extraordinarily difficult to say good-bye, especially during COVID-19, when we cannot meet in person. Yet we rejoice that Matt’s gifts will be so well-used in his new position.   The Session has called a congregational meeting for December 6 to formally take action to dissolve the pastoral relationship between Matt and the church. Sadly, that will also be Matt's last Sunday at WPC. Watch for more details about our celebration of Matt’s ministry. This meeting will be held on Zoom on Sunday, December 6 at 11:30am.
