EMBER is WPC's ministry for college students and 20-somethings. We exist to create a space for curiosity and connection, where faith can bloom into acts of justice, love, humility, and peace for the sake of our neighbors and our world. Join us on the 1st Thursday of each month for 30 minutes of stillness, silence, music, and prayer, followed by food and fellowship! This service is in the style of Compline, an ancient monastic prayer service that has marked the end of the day for Christian monks since the fourth century CE. It is designed to be an intimate time of reflection and contemplation. Participants are free to join in the responsive prayers and scripture readings, or simply to sit awash in beauty and candlelight. However you choose to participate, know that all are welcomed and affirmed during this sacred time together.
