Homeboy 5K Run/Walk

As our prior run/walkers can attest, this is a great way for families and friends to get outside, enjoy each other's company, and support a great cause. You can also enjoy the 1K Run and Kid's Zone activities, including music, food, and games.

As a refresher on Homeboy, it was started by Father Greg Boyle in Los Angeles in 1988 to answer the need for employment and educational opportunities among society’s most disadvantaged youth.  Homeboy has grown into the largest gang intervention, rehab, and re-entry program in the world, with over 250 organizations and social enterprises around the world, from Alabama and Idaho, to Guatemala and Scotland.

To sign up, click here and be sure to join the Westwood Presbyterian Church team. We meet at 8 AM in front of Homeboy Café before the race and then get together afterwards at a local lunch spot.
