Fun & Fellowship

WPC has weekly and month groups to encourage learning and growth in our members. Check out our current offerings below.
Every week our Bible study group meets in the Conference Room following worship (both in person and online). Sessions include background, history, and interpretation, as well as meaning for our lives, as we walk through various books of Scripture. Our study is led by Elizabeth Evans, MDiv in the Conference Room after worship.
Our book study group meets every Sunday following worship in the Brides’ Room, and new participants are always welcome. Led by professors John Quiring and Dr. John Becker, recent books have included The Political Crisis and Christian Ethics by Ronald Stone, Paul by N.T. Wright, and Theology for Skeptics by Dorothee Soelle.
WPC has a monthly poetry group that meets on Zoom every last Thursday of the month at 1:30pm. Bring a poem you are working on, receive feedback, and enjoy learning and growing together. Contact office@westwoodpres.org for more information and for the link to join by Zoom.
Each Thursday, 8:30-11am, women gather in Hoffman Hall to meditate on a brief poem and share our inspiration. A potluck breakfast is shared—and Zoom is available for those who cannot join in person. Contact the church office for the Zoom link and more information.
On the third Wednesday each month at 7:30 pm, women gather over Zoom to share our reflections. The book chosen for the month may be fiction or nonfiction, classic or brand new. Recent books have included The Vulnerables by Sigrid Nunez and Somehow: Thoughts on Love Anne Lamott. Contact the church office for the Zoom link and more information.
