Creation Season at WPC

This Spring at WPC, as we consider our calling to cultivate new life in this world, we're excited to announce our Creation Season programs!

Announcement

In addition to our regular worship gatherings that will focus on our Christian calling to tend and to keep God's world, there are several other opportunities to deepen our understanding of what it means to be caretakers in the garden of creation:

Faith Conversation with Katharine Hayhoe

Sunday, April 12 at 11:30am
Join us in the Sanctuary for a special conversation with renowned climate scientist and best-selling author, Katharine Hayhoe, one of today’s most compelling Christian voices on climate change, faith, and hope-filled action. More info here!

Ecotheology Reading Group

Wednesdays April 15, 22, and 29 at 7:00pm
Read and discuss seminal Christian works on faith and the environment from authors such as Lynne White and Pope Francis. Open to all and facilitated by Jake Putich. Click here to sign up online or sign up on the Side Porch after worship on Sundays.

Westwood Greenway Field Trip

Sunday, May 3 at 12:00pm
Explore a local natural preserve on a guided tour that highlights the beauty and life-giving power of native plants. A perfect outing for families and nature lovers! Click here to sign up online or sign up on the Side Porch after worship on Sundays.

Whether you join us for one event or all three, we hope this Creation Season will awaken in us a deeper sense of wonder, responsibility, and joy. As we learn, grow, and explore together, may we be renewed in our calling to cherish and protect the living world God has made!
