Remember the Bees

During this past Lenten season Children & Family Ministries and Mission & Outreach's Earth Care team linked up to send a portion of our One Great Hour of Sharing contributions to the Presbyterian Hunger Self-Development Fund. This program includes beekeeping as one of its sustainable ministries. These bee-designated funds found their way around the globe to countries in Central America and Africa. Pictured above is a Somalian farmer who learned climate-smart farming techniques and beekeeping with Kaalmo Relief and Development (a partner with PCUSA). Hive management and honey production have generated new sources of income to meet basic needs. So, let’s remember those bees and thank God for all of creation!
